The Institute for Infrastructure, Environment, and Innovation (IMIEU) is offering a hybrid traineeship as part of its training programme:
Traineeship Sustainability & Innovation: Development and Management of European and International Projects / European Green Deal
The position is focused on participating in and learning about the management of European and International projects for the upscaling of innovations, in relation to the decarbonisation of renewable power/clean water production, as well as the decarbonisation of transport (air/conventional aviation; electric air mobility, rail, maritime, and goods/passenger transport infrastructures). The work will be carried out in a small international team. The traineeship will result in an IMIEU traineeship certificate of "Sustainable Project Development - Clean Technologies". The five months traineeship includes the possibility to attend events organized by European institutions to gain an understanding of how the EU is facing climate challenges.
Requirements and desired qualities:
1. English near native speaker skills (speaking, reading and writing).
2. Knowledge of Dutch, German and/or French (or other languages), is an asset.
3. At least bachelors/masters' level- academic background, preferably in Sustainability, Environmental Policy, Law, Economics, Engineering, European Studies, Environmental Sciences or related.
4. Sustainability background and/or experience is a plus, strong interest a requirement.
5. Being able to work precisely and meet deadlines.
6. Good Microsoft Office and Excel skills, commandment of Word Press and social
media (esp. LinkedIn) is a plus.
7. Being able to work and plan pro-actively and independently.

4. A certificate upon successful completion.
6. A monthly cost re-imbursement of is offered for online/on-site trainees. The online traineeship could later on result in a traineeship on site.
7. Possibility of reimbursement Erasmus+ Students

Gain experience with:
- The development of projects for the facilitation of the SDGs as provided by the Paris Convention 2015.
- The European Green-Deal.
- The structure of the financing of upscaling innovations in the field of water, energy and infrastructure in and outside of the European Union.
- Assisting the management of international multidisciplinary and multi-cultural, inclusive 'impact' projects.
- The writing of programming and project progress reports.
- The grant search process of the upscaling of innovations
- Assist in the budgeting, planning of European co-operation projects
- Assist in financial administration activities such as invoicing
